At eQuinelle Golf Club, your health and safety are always a top priority—especially during the hot summer months. To help ensure a safe and enjoyable golf experience, we have a Heat Warning Policy in place that is activated when Health Canada issues an official heat warning for our area.

When a heat warning is in effect, here’s what you can expect:

What We're Doing to Support You:

  • Communication at Check-In: Staff will remind all golfers about the heat warning and share safety tips before play begins.

  • Complimentary Bottled Water: When the Thor Guard issues a 'Heat Warning 2' alert, our team will be distributing cold bottled water to golfers at no charge at the main staging area.

  • Cooling Towels: Chilled cloths or napkins may also be offered to help you stay cool on particularly hot days.

  • Staff Availability: Our team is always nearby and ready to assist if you’re feeling unwell or need support during your round.

What You Can Do To Stay Safe:

  • Stay Hydrated – Drink water regularly throughout your round, even if you don’t feel thirsty.

  • Dress Smart – Wear light, breathable clothing and a hat for sun protection.

  • Use Sunscreen – Apply SPF before your round and reapply as needed.

  • Know the Signs – If you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or fatigued, stop playing and find shade or head indoors.

  • Time Your Round – When possible, consider playing earlier in the morning or later in the day to avoid peak heat.

On days without a heat warning, normal operations will continue, including bottled water and electrolyte drinks available for purchase.

We appreciate your cooperation and encourage everyone to take the necessary steps to stay safe. If you have any questions or concerns while on the course, please speak with any member of our staff—we’re here to help.
