April 21st, 2023

 

We are excited to announce that the golf course and practice facilities will be officially opening for the 2023 golf season on Thursday, April 27th!

 

Tee sheets will now open daily for lottery bookings 10-days in advance, and will continue for the remainder of the season.

 

In preparation for opening, lotteries have been completed for Thursday and Friday earlier this afternoon.  Golfers who did not enter the lottery are welcome to book a tee time via the Chronogolf app or the website as the tee sheets have been re-opened for standard tee time bookings.

 

The lottery will close each day, 7-days in advance, at 10:00am.  

 

Tomorrow morning at 10:00am, ballots will close for tee times on Saturday, April 29th.  The system will perform the lottery and will send automated emails with your determined tee time by 3:00pm.  Once the lottery process is completed, members who did not enter the lottery are welcome to book tee times by following our standard booking protocols after 3:00pm.

Chris Vollett, Golf Course Superintendent, and his team have been hard at work preparing the golf course for play over the past few weeks in preparation for opening day.

 

Each season, our targeted opening date is for May 1st.  This year, mother nature has dealt many golf courses a rough hand with the ice storm, as preparations for the 2023 season began.  Chris and his team have spent many hours cleaning up after the storm, and we are happy to report the course came through the storm in excellent condition.  We are excited to provide you with information as it relates to a potential opening date for the golf course and practice facility.  

 

Pending the weather forecasts and final on-course preparations, our team is excited to announce that we are will begin opening tee sheets for a potential course opening the last week of April.  

 

As of today, you will be able to enter ballots for the following dates:

 

  • Thursday, April 27th
  • Friday, April 28th
  • Saturday, April 29th

 

With this being a tentative opening window, in the event the course is unable to open within 5-days of our first potential date above, all ballots entered for that day will be voided and cancelled.

 

We are excited to announce that the golf course will be open for eQuinelle Golf members and the eQuinelle community only for the first two days.  Ballots for this timeframe will be accepted for full eQuinelle Golf Club members only.  Resident Club members and homeowners may secure their tee times once the official opening date has been announced, and the lottery for member play has been completed by the system.

 

Once the golf course opening date has been announced, members will be able to enter ballots 10-days in advance as discussed as part of the 'Member Information Night'.  If you would like a recap on the lottery process, we invite you to view a video recording of the session here.

We trust that everyone has had a great off-season so far.  Mother Nature really turned corners quickly as the golf course is now covered in snow.

 

I want to take the opportunity to thank all of our members for a fantastic 2022 golf season.  The club is constantly evolving, and we appreciate the feedback and support from our members going forward into another busy year next year.  Information as part of our '2023 Golf Information Package' will be released soon and will be available via email and the eQuinelle Golf Portal.

We are happy to report that the golf course came through the winter in excellent condition.  Chris Vollett, Golf Course Superintendent, and his team have been hard at work preparing the golf course for play over the past few weeks in preparation for opening day.

 

Pending the weather forecasts and final on-course preparations, our team is excited to announce that we are targeting an opening date for the golf course and practice facilities for Friday, April 22nd.  We will be running a crossover off the 1st and 10th tees with tee times beginning at 7:30am. 

 

There will be no lottery on opening day.  The lottery pilot project on Friday's will begin the following week on Friday, April 29th.

 

We are excited to announce that the golf course will be open for eQuinelle Golf members and the eQuinelle community only for the first three days of the season.  There will be no guests or public play.  Our 'Silver' 5-day members are welcome to play free of charge on opening weekend. 

 

  • eQuinelle 'Gold & Silver' golf members & eQuinelle Resident Club members will have access to the tee sheet all day, all weekend.
    • Tee sheets open at 8pm on April 15th for golf members.
    • Tee sheets open at 9pm on April 15th for resident club members.
  • eQuinelle 'Bronze' golf members & homeowners (non-golf & non-resident club members) will have access after 12pm all weekend.
    • Tee sheets open at 6am on April 16th for homeowners.

 

Member/Guests and Public play will begin on Monday, April 25th, with golf course privileges after 12:00pm.  Once tee times shift to 7:00am, these categories will be permitted access to the course after 11:30am.

 

With this being a tentative opening date, in the event the course is unable to open as planned, all tee times booked will be cancelled.  Golfers will be notified via email from the Professional Staff.

 

We are also excited to highlight some key enhancements to our facility for the 2022 golf season here at eQuinelle:

 

  • Significant investment in new equipment.
    • 80 charcoal grey E-Z-GO RXV Elite Lithium electric golf carts.
    • 6 new pieces of maintenance equipment.
  • Additional on—course benches and ball washers.
    • Will be added near the forward tees on select holes.
  • Additional sand & seed stations.
    • Additional stations have been purchased - located every 3-4 holes.
  • Practice facility improvements.
    • New mats have been purchased and will be installed this spring.
    • Short game area has been improved to ensure safety.
    • New target greens and short game targets have been added.

 

We encourage the wearing of masks inside all buildings on property for the safety of you, our staff, and other customers.

With spring comes the blooming of magnolia's in the southern United States, and with that comes Masters week in Augusta, Georgia!  It doesn't seem like long ago where the world's best teed it up at Augusta National in search of the coveted green jacket, which Hideki Matsuyama conquered to win his first Masters.  Here we are once again at a familiar time of year - early April - as the world's best golfers look to tame Augusta National in hopes of joining a great list of champions at this historic venue.

Patrick McKee is the defending champion this week as he looks to hold off others in search of another title.  We have some new categories this year which is sure to make things interesting (and more challenging).  Nonetheless, it's shaping up to be a great week of golf and we hope you take 5 minutes or so to choose a team and participate!

Titleist is offering their loyalty program once again! 

 

Now is the best time to stock up your golf bag on the #1 ball in golf for the upcoming season!  Pricing this year starts at $65.00 per dozen and are available to order by filling out the online form below:

 

 

The program is taking place beginning March 25th - April 15th and will run until supplies last.  

 

We have been told by Titleist there is a limited supply through the program this year due to global supply shortages.  To ensure our members have the best chance to secure a golf ball order, now is the time to complete the customization form prior to the launch of the program.  This way, when the program opens for orders, we will be able to enter them to ensure you will receive your golf ball order.

 

Once your order has been received, you will receive a confirmation email of your order.

The Golf Shop will be closed from Saturday, March 12th - Sunday, March 20th.  
 

We will re-open by appointment on Monday, March 21st at 9:00am.  Membership applications filed during this time will be confirmed and processed the week of March 21st.  We will see you then!

Our partners at the Superdome at Ben Franklin Park will be hosting us for an opportunity for members of the eQuinelle community to get custom fit for new products from our friends at Titleist.  

 

We are excited to provide you some additional information below:

 

  • Date:  Monday, March 07, 2022
  • Time:  12:00pm - 4:00pm
  • Location:  Superdome at Ben Franklin
  • Cost:  $50.00 for a one-hour appointment

 

The fitting fee will serve as a non-refundable deposit towards golf clubs purchased that day.  Trackman will be utilized to ensure golfers receive a 'tour quality' custom fitting experience.  

 

Registration for our fitting event is scheduled to close on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 12:00 PM.  Spaces are limited to 4 registrants on a first come, first serve basis.  All registrants will be placed on the pending list until our staff reaches out to finalize your appointment time.
